These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ScamSense mobile app (“the app”), published by VelrixTech (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using ScamSense, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What ScamSense does
ScamSense analyses messages you provide and returns an advisory scam-risk verdict, red flags, and suggested next steps. It is an informational tool to help you make your own decisions. It is not a security suite, antivirus, legal advice, or a substitute for your own judgement.
2. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that verdicts are correct, complete, or uninterrupted, or that the app is error-free.
3. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VelrixTech is not liable for any loss or damage (including financial loss, data loss, or damages arising from acting on — or refraining from acting on — a verdict) resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the app. You are solely responsible for your decisions and actions.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the app only for lawful purposes and as intended.
- Do not misuse, reverse-engineer, attack, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or backend.
- Do not submit content you have no right to share.
5. Accounts
An account is optional. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may sign out or request deletion at any time.
6. Free tier, limits & ads
Free users get a limited number of checks per day and may be shown advertisements. Limits and ad behaviour may change over time.
7. Subscriptions & billing
- ScamSense Plus is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (and/or one-time purchase) through Google Play.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Google Play → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled per Google Play’s policies.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its design, and content (excluding messages you submit) are owned by VelrixTech and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the app at any time and delete it.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
